The coat is the Pomeranian's crown and its chore. Plan on brushing 3 to 4 times a week down to the skin, not just over the top, plus a proper groom every 4 to 8 weeks. Shedding is constant and the seasonal coat blows are generous; the vacuum becomes part of the family.
One thing we tell every buyer, because Singapore groomers see the damage weekly: don't shave a Pomeranian down for the "teddy bear cut". Shaving a double coat can trigger alopecia X, patchy hair loss that may never fully grow back. Trim, tidy, and brush; never shave to the skin. In our climate the undercoat actually insulates against heat, so a well-brushed full coat is more comfortable than a shaved one.
Pomeranian Health: What We Check Before You Take One Home
Every Pomeranian goes home vet-checked, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped. We don't sell to that label. Dogs bred to be unusually tiny carry higher risks: fragile bones, collapsing tracheas, severe dental problems, chronic low blood sugar, and shorter lives.
A healthy Pomeranian already fits in a tote bag with room for your wallet. If a seller promises a size below the healthy range and guarantees it, treat the promise as a warning, not a feature.

Extremely satisfied with nelson’s customer service, all the way from our first visit, to letting us pet each puppy and giving us ample time to choose a puppy that connected with us. He really gave us the chance to interact with each dog and choose one that really formed a special connection with us.
