Low-shedding does not mean low-maintenance; it means the loose hair stays in the curl instead of on your sofa, and somebody has to brush it out. Plan on brushing 3 to 4 times a week and professional grooming every 4 to 6 weeks; Singapore's humidity mats a curly coat faster than overseas care guides suggest.
